The BIMS (Bay Islands Men's Shed) Community Garden is located at 30 Scotts Road, Macleay Island. The community garden is a Bay Islands Men's Shed project, however, unlike membership to Men's Sheds the community garden is inclusive to all genders. It is supported by the Redland City Council. Membership is open to all residents of the SMBI (Southern Moreton Bay Islands: Macleay, Russell, Lamb and Karragarra islands)

Who can have a plot?

All residents of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands.
A member can only have one garden plot.
Members can use the communal herb garden plot free of charge.

Membership Fees and Plot Rentals:

Fees for membership are $20 per family per year (applies to immediate families only)
Plot rentals are only available to paid members and cost an additional $20 per year.
Membership fees and plot rentals are due each year on 1st July and are payable by the 31st July. Members who do not pay their fees by this date may have their plot forfeited - at the discretion of the BIMSCG Coordinator. New members who join during the year will be charged full membership and plot rental.
